The Bee Centre is a centre of excellence for bee-related education, breeding and husbandry. We educate by delivering our award-winning ‘bee experience’, beekeeping courses and talks to individuals, organisations, schools and groups. We work with other businesses to strengthen the UK supply chain, we support farms by increasing crop yield through pollination and we work with local authorities to create suitable habitats for bees to thrive in. We also specialise in breeding sustainable honeybees, based on our native black bee.

COVID-19 Update

We are still working……………………

In the current circumstances, we are doing our best to ensure our customers still have access to the pure honey that they rely on to help them remain healthy and able to respond to illness, allergies and respiratory challenges. We are also supporting our local beekeeping  community by providing supplies essential to maintain good bee welfare; especially since the cancellation of the BBKA Spring Convention and other events.

We are taking bookings for Bee Experiences. These are being delivered to include social distancing and comply with current government guidance. Vouchers remain valid until the end of October.

HONEY IS NOW AVAILABLE BY MAIL ORDER via the shop on this website.

We have also set up A LOCAL DELIVERY SERVICE (which is free for orders over £20) for those who need honey quickly. We do this as a Zero Contact service. Contact us by phone or the contact form for more information.

Our honey can also be purchased from other friends and partners, including:

  • Brindle Distillery (Brindle, near Chorley)
  • Barrica in the Park (Astley Park, Chorley)
  • Derby House (Wrightington)
  • Woods Co-op (Darwen)
